Yes. The POSH Act mandates regular awareness programs for all employees. Kerala has established an active POSH portal and all 95+ government departments have ICs. Private organizations are equally bound under the central Act.
Every organization with 10 or more employees must form an IC under Section 4 of the POSH Act. This includes companies, startups, NGOs, schools, hospitals and any workplace — including those with remote or work-from-home staff.
First offence: Fine up to ₹50,000. Second offence: Double the penalty, plus possible cancellation of business registration, licence or other government approvals. Courts can also take cognizance of non-compliance complaints.
The IC must submit an annual report to the District Officer at the end of each calendar year. It must include the number of complaints received, disposed and pending. Non-submission is a compliance failure and attracts penalties.

Yes. The POSH Act requires each IC to include one external member from an NGO or organization with legal expertise or social work background. FIO Foundation can serve as the external member for your organization's IC.
