Frequently Asked Questions
Is the POSH Compliance Self-Check Tool really free?+
Yes. FIO Foundation offers this POSH Act Compliance Portal completely free for every Kerala employer. There is no signup, no payment, and no data is stored — your inputs stay in your browser.
What does the POSH Kerala compliance score mean?+
Your score is the percentage of 20 mandatory POSH Act items your organisation has completed — across IC formation, notice board, training, policy, annual report and portal registration on the Kerala POSH Portal and SHe-Box.
Which sections of the POSH Act 2013 does this checker cover?+
Sections 4 (Internal Committee), 6 (Local Committee referral), 19 (Employer Duties), 21 and 22 (Annual Report) and Section 23 (Monitoring) — read together with WCD Kerala directions on the Kerala POSH Portal.
Will the result count as a formal POSH compliance audit?+
No. This is a self-assessment tool to help you identify gaps. A formal audit is conducted by an empanelled POSH consultant — FIO Foundation, Kerala's exclusive POSH NGO, offers this as a service.
What is the penalty for POSH non-compliance in Kerala?+
Under Section 26 of the POSH Act, the first offence carries a fine of up to Rs 50,000. Repeat violations attract double the penalty and possible cancellation of business registration, licence, or government approvals.
